Tolma is considered one of the most delicious national dishes in Armenia. It is prepared from minced meat, which is wrapped in grape leaves, and the fermented milk product “matsun” with garlic is served as gravy. The annual festival of tolma in Armenia is a great opportunity to get acquainted with this delicious meat dish.
The festival is held in May in Armavir region, near the Sardarapat memorial complex.
During the festival, Armenian chefs compete for the title of the most original way of preparing this national dish. All participants will be able to try both the tolma itself and other dishes of national cuisine. The event is accompanied by dancing and songs.
