Garni Temple

Garni Temple is the only monument preserved in the territory of Armenia dating back to the era of paganism and Hellenism, a pagan temple built in the first century, near the village of Garni, surrounded by an incredibly beautiful gorge where you can not only hear but also see the Symphony of stones.

Geghard.

Seven kilometers northeast from Garni, higher up the gorge of the Azat River is the famous Geghard monastery complex, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The most unique feature of the monastery is its location - in a mountain gorge. By the way, almost all of the monastery is carved into the rocks.

Lake Sevan and Sevanavank.

We strongly recommend seeing the blue pearl of Armenia - the highest alpine freshwater lake, the largest of the lakes of the Caucasus. On the peninsula the Sevanavank Monastery is located, founded in 874 by Princess Mariam - the daughter of Ashot I Bagratuni.

Haghartsin

In the emerald meadow, lost among the forests of the Dilijan reserve, is the Haghartsin Monastery, erected in the 11th-13th centuries by several generations of Armenian architects. The churches of the Holy Virgin, St. Stepanos, St. Gregory, the tomb of the royal Bagratid dynasty, the refectory and other monastery buildings are expertly inscribed in the beautiful landscape surrounding them, called the "Armenian Switzerland".

Goshavank

In the upper reaches of the Agstev River, on the slope of the gorge, overgrown with oak forest, the monastery Nor Getik or Goshavank settled down. Churches of the Holy Virgin, St. Gregory the Illuminator, a book depository with a bell tower, a school building and galleries were erected in the 12th-13th centuries. The monastery was famous as a major educational center of medieval Armenia, associated with the name of Mkhitar Gosh, the author of remarkable fables and a judge who, for centuries, served justice not only in Armenia, but also in neighboring Georgia. A large number of original cross stones were also preserved on the territory of the monastery.
