Day 1. Yerevan. City –tour
Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. You are met by our guide and transferred to the hotel. Accommodation and a short rest in the hotel after the flight. Then you will have a fascinating city tour round the capital of our country. You will need a camera so as not to miss the main beauty of Yerevan, and comfortable shoes for the tour
Yerevan is a city of contrasts, where modern buildings are harmoniously combined with historical monuments.
We begin our tour from Republic Square, the heart of the city. You will see a beautiful building of Marriott hotel, the main clock of the city, the great building of the National Museum of History and the Singing Fountains. We will walk with our guide along the modern North Avenue (a great place for shopping) and come to the building of the Opera and Ballet Theatre after Spendiaryan. Yerevan residents and visitors often spend their evenings sitting in a cozy cafe for a cup of coffee or just walk around the Swan Lake. Our walking tour continues to the Cascade - the architectural complex with flower beds, fountains and sculptures of famous contemporary sculptors such as Botero. The highlight of our tour will be an observation deck with an obelisk built in honor of the 50th anniversary of Soviet Armenia. We go up the escalator to the observation deck where opens a great view over Yerevan . Do not miss a chance to take photos on the background of ancient Yerevan.
Return to the hotel.
Day 2. Yerevan(Matenadaran)-Garni -Geghard –Yerevan
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel you will have an excursion to the Matenadaran, the museum - institute of ancient manuscripts and the center of Armenian written culture.
The Matenadaran is one of the largest repositories of manuscripts in the world and the largest repository of ancient Armenian manuscripts. It preserves unique relics and manuscripts, copies of the first printed books, manuscripts. After the tour in the Matenadaran you go on a trip to Garni.
Garni Temple is a former residence of Armenian kings, the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia. It is believed that it was built in honor of God of the sun
After walking on the territory of this historical complex you will have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
The next point of our tour is not less beautiful place that is sacred for Armenians – Geghard monastery complex, a unique architectural structure carved into the rock, is included in the list of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Legend says it that the full name of Gegardavank monastery - "Monastery of the spear" - comes from the Holy Lance that pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and, allegedly brought to Armenia by Apostle Thaddeus, among many other relics.
Return to Yerevan hotel.
The evening is free for new discoveries in Yerevan. Numerous cafes, pubs, restaurants and clubs where you can spend your time, listen to music and enjoy different delicacies.
Day 3. Yerevan - Lake Sevan
Breakfast in the hotel. Today you will see Lake Sevan, the blue pearl of Armenia. Its crystal - clear water, clean air, cliffs, wild beaches, deep forests on the slopes, alpine meadows –you will admire all of this. And when you get up to the peninsula to visit Sevanavank church you will admire breathtaking panorama.
When you go to Lake Sevan you should taste fish from the very lake!. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After a delicious lunch on the shore of Sevan , you will return to Yerevan for an excursion to <> brandy factory to taste the famous sorts of brandy.
Return to the hotel. Free evening. We advise you to see the Singing Fountain on Republic Square - a symphony of water and fire!
Day 4.Yerevan
Breakfast in the hotel. Depending on your flight you can visit Vernissage –an open air fair of pictures, souvenirs, traditional musical instruments, hand-made dolls, wooden things.
Transfer to the airport to your flight.
