Our tour starts on Freedom Square near the building of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre after Spendiaryan. The Opera House is an architectural masterpiece by Tamanyan. We’ll walk from the square to to Saryan’s monument, where you will see an exhibition - sale of paintings by local artists. , If desired you can buy one of them.
Then we’ll continue our excursion to <> Brandy Factory. On the way, we also see St.Sarkis’ Cathedral which is located on the left bank of the river Hrazdan, with a breathtaking view of the Hrazdan Gorge and the Victory Bridge.
Upon arrival at <> Brandy Factory you will visit the museum of the factory and get acquainted with the history of creating legendary ARARAT brandy, see the oldest Armenian barrels full of fine drink. The highlight of the excursion to the factory is tasting of best sorts.
We are leaving Yerevan and setting off to Etchmiadzin , the spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. On the way to Echmiadzin You will also visit the museum – memorial of Musa - Doug in Musaler village.
Arrival in Echmiadzin. You’ll visit the Mother Holy of Echmiadzin, St. Gayane, St.. Shoghakat and St. Hripsime Churches. All the churches are considered excellent examples of Armenian classical architecture.
After visiting the churches we’ll go to <> tourism and art center where you can have lunch enjoying traditional Armenian food and drinks, as well as have master - classes of carpet weaving, ceramics, folk dances, and preparing of national dishes. In the center you can also see drawings and paintings of the children who attend the center’s art school. On the way back you will visit another landmark - the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral which is considered a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Along with Zvartnots Cathedral , the Mother Holy of Echmiadzin l is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
