In the very center of Yerevan, on Zakyan Street, the Beer Days festival is taking place. The festival lasts two days, July 22 and 23.
Here, more than a dozen Armenian beer producing companies present their products and brewing technology to provide a platform to both skilled and new brewers and to develop event tourism.
Beer has been brewed in Armenia since ancient times. After visiting one of the Armenian villages in the 5th century BC, the historian Xenophon wrote that the Armenians kept barley wine in clay jars with grains floating on the surface.
Among the visitors of the festival are mainly tourists who enjoy Yerevan and Armenian beer.
