June Festivals 2024 in Armenia

June in Armenia is a month full of vibrant festivals that showcase the country's rich culture and heritage. Whether you're a wine enthusiast, a fan of colorful events, or a pet lover, there's something for everyone. Here's a look at some of the key festivals happening this month in Yerevan.

Yerevan Wine Days

Date: June 7-9

Location: Saryan, Tumanyan, Moskovyan Streets, Yerevan
Time: 4 PM - 10:30 PM

The first weekend of June is Yerevan Wine Days. This year, the focus is on the old way of making wine in Armenia, using clay jugs called karases. There will be over 700 different Armenian wines to try, so whether you know a lot about wine or are just curious, this is a great event. It's a fun way to spend time with friends and family, learn about Armenian history, and of course, drink some delicious wine!

Yerevan Color Fest

Date: June 15
Location: Megamall Parking Lot
Time: 5 PM

If you're looking for a fun party, check out the Yerevan Color Fest on June 15th. This popular event is outside the Megamall parking lot. Get ready to be covered in colored powder and dance to great music by DJs and bands. It's a great way to meet new people and have a blast!

Dog Fest 2024

Date: June 8-9
Location: Downtown Yerevan

Do you love dogs? Then Yerevan has something special for you this June! DogFest 2024 is the first big pet festival in the city. There will be competitions for dogs to show off their skills, like agility (obstacle courses) and catching frisbees. There will also be talks and classes for pet owners about how to take care of their furry friends. You can even get advice from vets and professional dog groomers. This is a great chance to learn something new and have fun with your dog!

Upcoming Vardavar Holiday

Date: July 7
Location: Throughout Armenia

Every July, Armenia explodes in a giant water fight called Vardavar! This fun-filled holiday has roots in ancient Armenian traditions, originally honoring a goddess of love, beauty, and water. People of all ages grab buckets and squirt guns, ready to soak anyone they see! It's a great way to cool off in the summer heat, celebrate with loved ones, and even make some new friends with a surprise splash.

June in Yerevan is packed with exciting festivals that cater to a wide range of interests. From the sophisticated allure of Yerevan Wine Days to the vibrant chaos of the Color Fest and the heartwarming Dog Fest, there’s something to look forward to every weekend. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Vardavar Holiday in July! Whether you're a local or a tourist, these events offer a fantastic way to experience the rich culture and lively spirit of Armenia.
